WHEAT GERM FAST FACTS |
| |
Wheat germ is a goldmine of very interesting nutrients. An excellent source of vitamin E, a good source of folic acid, thiamine and zinc, a source of fibre, magnesium and phosphorus – it would be hard to do without it!
Apart from these vitamins and minerals, wheat germ contains lipids rich in omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Because of the presence of this fatty acid, wheat germ will tend to go rancid quickly.
