Vitamins
and minerals
The secret is in variety!
Most people are concerned about the quality of
their food, and many of them choose to turn to vitamin and mineral
supplements to get the nutrition they need. This is not a bad
practice in itself, but it is not always necessary either. Often
a balanced diet which includes all food groups is enough. Lean
meats, such as Quebec milk-fed veal, plenty of vegetables, cereal
and milk products should always be the base of our daily menu.

The nutritional
value of Quebec milk-fed veal
UA Canadian*
study made in 2000 showed that Quebec milk-fed veal is a very
nutritional food. It is a source of magnesium
and of iron as well as an excellent source
of vitamin B12 and of zinc.
In addition to being
present in significant quantities in Quebec milk-fed veal, iron
from animal origin is more easily absorbed by the system than
the iron found in vegetables. Veal liver, considered as being
one of the finest livers, is also an excellent source
of vitamin A. In general, meat also contain B
complex vitamine such as thiamin,
riboflavin and niacin.
